The "Open Educational Resource" movement has received a boost with a new federal initiative to make courses, learning materials and exams available free online. Community colleges can compete for money from a two billion dollar fund to serve students online, provided that they make all course materials publicly available forever. Efforts are being made to include college credit for these courses. Read about this developing program to make higher education more accessible to everyone.
